This NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) qualification will prepare you to become an early year’s educator or practitioner, which is also known as a nursery nurse.
Upon successful completion of this qualification, you can apply for roles as early year’s practitioner and educator roles in an early year’s settings in which you will be working with children aged from birth to five years of age.
The course covers the health and wellbeing of children and their learning, play, and development to prepare them for school. You will also study the legislation, frameworks, and professional practice involved in working in an early year’s setting.
You will also earn 32 UCAS points once you have successfully completed your course which can be used to support your application to study a related higher education degree.

Your written assignments will be submitted via email to your tutor for marking.
You will have 18 months to complete the course. This allows you to work at your own pace. You will also need to complete 350 placement hours, across three age ranges (birth to 1 year 11 months, 2 to 2 years 11 months, and 3 to 5 years).
You will study this course by distance learning, which will enable you to take control of your studies. You can study at your own pace from a place that suits you. All your learning materials will be posted or emailed to you online, depending on the learning method you choose. You will also receive our tutor support by email, so help is only ever a click away.
Once you have successfully completed your assignments and workplace observations, you will receive your NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator). A certificate will be provided to you as recognition of your achievement.

You will need to be at least 16 years of age to enrol onto this course. You will need to have a placement in an early years setting in mainland England with support from a workplace mentor. Students also must have basic IT skills and be fluent in English.
Please note, in order to secure employment which counts in the level 3 staff:child ratios in a childcare setting, you must also have a level 2 qualification in both English and Maths (i.e. functional skills or GCSE).
If you need to study maths and English alongside this course, packages are available to study with OSC to allow you to study and achieve the required qualifications alongside this course.

The recommended number of placement hours for this course is 350 hours. It is important that your work placement is across the age range from birth to five years old. An assessor will also need to sign off any additional evidence that you provide for your assessment relating to your placement.
