In the first lesson, you will learn the importance of consultation and preparation. Covering hair from a variety of classifications, including a focus on curly hair. This foundation-level lesson will teach you about the science of hair as well as delivering styling tips and aftercare advice.

In this tutorial, you will learn a basic blow-drying technique, including how to blow dry using a round brush to achieve a stunning finish that’s both even and shiny. You will also receive insider tips on lifting the hair according to hair quality and bone structure.

In this lesson, you will learn how to use the diffuser to showcase naturally curly hair. You will be shown how to use blow drying to add movement and volume. You will also get the lowdown on using products in the right way to protect and lift hair. The result? Beautiful curls with natural motion.

In this tutorial, you will be shown the curly-to-straight blow-dry, with tips on everything from tension, direction, and finish to product use. Perfect for special occasions, this technique creates a dramatic change with a silky, smooth finish.

In your final lesson, you will be shown how to use your blow-drying and brushing skills to add movement and waves to straight hair - the opposite of lesson 4. Get ready to cover a range of techniques including backcombing and tension. You will learn how to create luscious curls on long hair to delight those clients with straight locks!

Assessment

Each lesson will have an online video for you to work through. After you have watched the video, you are required to submit photos of your completed work and upload them to the learning portal alongside a statement outlining the key things you have learned.

Your tutor will then provide detailed feedback and include areas you can improve on if required.
