Immediately after enrolment

Upon completion of enrolment with Open Study College, you will be required to go through a secondary application process; this is just a formality and involves completing and signing a course application form. Once completed you will be required to arrange an induction interview with your allocated course tutor who will help you to choose the study units which best suit your requirements.


You will be assessed on each unit studied, based on criteria set out by your tutor. All assessments will be submitted via your tutor.

Course Duration

The course must be completed in a maximum of 6 months; with 121 hours of study time required to achieve the Level 3 Certificate. Studying the provided course materials at a speedier pace could lead to completing the course in less than 6 months. Enjoy the flexibility to achieve your Level 3 Certificate more quickly if desired.

Study Method

This course is offered on a distance learning basis, with access to required study materials and unlimited support from your personal tutor via email. Study at your own pace, wherever and whenever you choose.

Course Outcome

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a CMI Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Management and Leadership, awarded by Chartered Management Institute (CMI). You will also be eligible for CMI membership.
