The CIMA Professional Qualification is recognised worldwide as the most relevant global finance qualification for a career in business and finance. In the Management Accounting module P1, you will examine why costing is done and what it is used for. You will be introduced to the basic building blocks of costing and how to apply them in the costing methods that businesses use.
This is one of the 12 modules you need to complete in order to achieve the CIMA Professional qualification. By successfully completing the Management Accounting P1 exam, you will be one step closer to achieving the CIMA Professional Qualification.
On completion of the CIMA Professional Qualification, you will be awarded the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation. This showcases your professionalism, business and leadership skills, ethics, and commitment.

During this course you will complete a number of progress tests and mock exams in preparation for your exam.
You will need to sit an exam at the end of this module in order to achieve a pass in the Management Accounting P1 module. You will sit a computer based objective test comprising of a range of questions types.
Exams are not included in the cost of this course. You will need to book your exams directly with CIMA.
This course is offered on a distance learning basis, with access to required study materials and unlimited support from your personal tutor via email. Study at your own pace, wherever and whenever you choose.
On successful completion of your exam, you will achieve a pass in the Management Accounting P1 module. This counts towards your overall CIMA membership.
Upon completion of the Management Accounting module P1, you will be able to move on to another of the 12 modules to earn your CIMA Professional Qualification.

- AAT Technician/Diploma Level 4
To complete the full CIMA Professional Qualification, you will need to complete a total of 3 years work experience. You can start your work experience at any time and can continue gaining experience after completion of your exams.
There may be exemptions depending on what qualifications you already have.
