The CIMA Professional Qualification is recognised worldwide as the most relevant global finance qualification for a career in business. On completion of the CIMA Professional Qualification, you will be awarded the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation. This showcases your professionalism, business and leadership skills, ethics and commitment.
This module is one of twelve you need to complete in order to achieve the CIMA Professional Qualification. Successful completion of your Management Accounting P1 exam will contribute towards achieving the CIMA Professional Qualification.

On completion of your exam, you will receive a pass in the Management Accounting P1 module.
In order to study this module, you must have completed one of the following: - CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting - Degree in Business or Accounting - AAT Technician/Diploma Level 4.
A mixture of progress tests and mock exams, as well as completion of one exam.

- Preparing budgets
- The concept of budgeting control
- Main types of short-term decisions made by organisations
- Underlying concepts used for short-term decision making
- Techniques to support short-term decisions
- Applying basic risk management tools
During this course you will complete a number of progress tests and mock exams in preparation for your exam.
You will need to sit an exam at the end of this module in order to achieve a pass in the Management Accounting P1 module. You will sit a computer based objective test comprising of a range of questions types.
Exams are not included in the cost of this course. You will need to book your exams directly with CIMA.
This course is offered on a distance learning basis, with access to required study materials and unlimited support from your personal tutor via email. Study at your own pace, wherever and whenever you choose.
On successful completion of your exam, you will achieve a pass in the Management Accounting P1 module. This counts towards your overall CIMA membership.

In order to study this module, you must have completed one of the following:

To complete the full CIMA Professional Qualification, you will need to complete a total of 3 years work experience. You can start your work experience at any time and can continue gaining experience after completion of your exams.
