Does your business need staff training and upskilling?
We are proud to be working in partnership with the Supplier Skills Programme, which means your business could receive a grant of £500-£18,000 to enable your staff to study with us.
The £12m Supplier Skills Programme is part-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and managed by Birmingham City Council, and offers Small to Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) the opportunity to access grant funding to develop and upskill their workforce.
Training grants of between £500 to a maximum of £18,000 per SME are available and training will be funded 50% by the SME and 50% by the European Social Fund grant.
Are you an SME that:
- Has been actively trading for at least 6 months or more?
- Is based within, or locating to, the “More Developed” areas of The Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership (GBSLEP), namely Birmingham, Redditch, Bromsgrove, Solihull and the Wyre Forest.
- Operates in a sector where there is significant job replacement demand. Whilst SSP is open to all business sectors, we particularly welcome applications from the following sectors, HS2, Health and Social Care (particularly adult care), Transport and Logistics, Retail, Hospitality and Tourism, Construction and Infrastructure, Digital and Technology, Food and Drink and Emerging Technologies.
- Is able to match fund the training costs (50% of training costs will be match funded by the employer and the remaining 50% by ESF) – Note: Match funding cannot be sources from public funds.
If your business fulfills this criteria, then you could be eligible to apply for funding.
