The course is divided into separate levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced). As this is a self-study course it is up to yourself to test your own knowledge. There is a revision scheme and regular self-assessment tests included to ensure you retain the new language as you progress through the course.
You can study this course entirely at your own pace. There are no time limits and you can revisit the course as much as you need to.
You will study this course by distance learning, which will enable you to learn when and where you want. You will study this course through 8 audio language CD’s a handbook, textbook and oral exercise book.
You will also have access to online audio for computer and mobile devices so you can listen on the go!
This is a self-study course, which is ideal for those who enjoy learning and are not interested in obtaining a formal qualification.
Listen
You’ll develop a vocabulary of over 2000 words as you listen to this engaging 8 part set recorded by native Thai speakers. To ease you into your first few lessons, the words are spoken slowly (but without distorting the intonation of the language). But as you progress and improve the lessons are spoken at normal speed.
Understand
As you listen and read the language from the coursebooks you will discover the meaning of each word. Familiar everyday objects have exciting new names. Words and then phrases start to become clear and your reading, writing and speaking will improve.
Speak
Start speaking from the very first lesson. Many people find speaking a new language to be the hardest part and that’s why you’ll start speaking Thai from your very first lesson. Right from the beginning, you can get started with the correct pronunciation.
This course will give you the confidence to speak English freely and with flair. This course does not give you a formal qualification.
You will need to be able to read basic English to complete this course.
