Course overview

  • The perfect first step for anyone wanting to learn more about dog grooming.
  • Study from the comfort your own home, at your own pace.

This Dog Grooming QLS Level 3 course is ideal for anyone wanting to develop an understanding of dog grooming.

During this course, you’ll develop your understanding of the anatomy of a dog and how to tend to canine health concerns such as parasites, injuries, and first aid. You will also learn more about how to effectively bathe and dry a dog, brushing and clipping techniques, and how to clean and identify problems with certain areas of a dog’s anatomy such as their claws, teeth, eyes, and ears.

Once you have completed this course, if you wish to pursue a career as a dog groomer, we recommend that you gain practical experience by shadowing an experienced, professional groomer in order to put your knowledge into practice and develop those all-important skills. After all, dog grooming will require you to work closely with someone’s pride and joy, so it is vital that you gain hands-on experience with the support of a professional groomer before you attempt to groom anyone’s dog.
