Worried about becoming a parent? Our Parenting course can help!

It can be pretty daunting becoming a parent.
One minute you’re living your best life and only worrying about yourself, and the next you’ve got a small person who is dependent on you and needs help with everything… EVERYTHING.
That’s a big step.
And there is no in between. After 9 months, you are just suddenly a parent.
We aren’t trying to scare you off, what we do want to do is prepare you for the road ahead.
If you’re worried about becoming a parent, there’s no need to be. Not only will your natural instincts kick in, but you can now study it!
Yep, that’s right. You can now study to become a parent.

Parenting Course

There is an uncountable number of books that all have different opinions on how everyone should raise their children, but which one is correct?
And there are too many to read them all, so how are you supposed to know which one is best?
Well we have just bumped things up a notch…
Instead of a book, why not enrol onto a Parenting course?
Our NCFE CACHE Level 2 Award in Preparation for the Responsibilities of Parenting course is the perfect way to ease your nerves and prepare you for becoming a parent.
Accredited by CACHE (The Council for Awards in Care, Health and Education), this Level 2 Award covers everything you need to know in parenting children under the age of 5.
Things like…

  • Parental responsibilities
  • Child welfare
  • Stimulation and interaction
  • Environmental requirements

…and much more. (Some things most of you may not have ever thought of.)
And as we are a distance learning college, there is no rush. You are in control of your learning, so it is down to you to choose when and where you study.
Before the baby comes…while they are asleep… while you’re changing a nappy – it’s is honestly up to you.

Opportunities

Let’s face it: being a parent is a full-time job.
So, studying this Parenting course to improve your parenting skills alone is justifiable. It would be pretty cool to say you were a professionally “qualified parent”.
But in case you were interested, you can also do much more.
The completion of this course will count towards the Level 2 Award in Babysitting and the Level 2 Certificate Introducing Caring for Children and Young People if you wish to progress further.
This can allow you to work with children in certain environments, such as a nursery or day care centre.
So, don’t panic! It will all be fine.
