    What is a Teaching Assistant?

There are around 150,000 teaching assistants in the UK. A key role of the Teaching Assistant is to support the pupils, the teacher and school.

As a Teaching Assistant you’d need to help prepare lessons, put up displays around the school, and sometimes work with individual children.

    Trusted qualifications

Our Teaching Assistant courses are nationally recognised by Ofqual (the government qualifications department). Study with confidence knowing you’re on an official regulated course.

We have Ofqual courses from the following:

CACHE: The UK’s leading specialist awarding body for the education and care sector. They are officially recognised by Ofqual and RQF

TQUK: Training Qualifications UK are an awarding body offering nationally recognised courses officially regulated by Ofqual and RQF.

All Ofqual courses are part of the RQF (Regulated Qualifications Framework)

Study from home, at your own pace

If you struggle to find time to study every day at a traditional college, a home learning course is an ideal solution. Over 120,000 people have studied with us from home and enjoyed full support from a tutor.

You’ll study whenever you want, at your own pace. There are no strict deadlines (you’ll have up to a year and most of our courses require 80 hours of study- that’s around 1 hour and a half a week).

    Who are CACHE?

CACHE are the UK’s only specialist awarding organisation for the children and adult care sector.

CACHE have performed detailed, rigorous checks to ensure our Teaching Assistant course meets their high standards.

    CACHE alumni

Open Study College are committed to helping you improve your education and progress within your career, and this includes after you have completed your studies.

Which is why we are now offering you a year’s FREE membership with the CACHE Alumni on completion of studying your CACHE course.

CACHE Alumni is a Professional Membership Network for those who work in the CACHE Sector. It is for qualified professionals and offers relevant news updates, topical resources and careers information. Access tailored advice and e-learning modules to help enhance your learning even after your studies are complete.

    Award-winning tutor support

Our courses are studied entirely from home- but you still enjoy help at every step of the way from your dedicated expert tutor who can be contacted via our award-winning e-learning site.
