To achieve a GCSE in Mathematics you will be assessed across the four sections by 3 paper-based examinations. A more detailed breakdown of the assessment details is provided below:
Although you are assessed formally by examination, you will also be required to submit tutor-marked assignments. These are designed to help you and monitor your progress.
If you choose to study this course you will need to take the higher level examinations.
You will have 12 months to complete the full GCSE Mathematics course from the date you receive your materials. You will be able to study at your own pace and your only deadlines are the A Level examinations, which you will be able to take in May/June 2019 at the earliest.
The examinations for this course will be taken at a centre in either Birmingham or Macclesfield; we will book these for you when you feel you are ready. Additional exam centres in various locations will soon become available.

Yes, you will need to take the standard GCSE examinations in order to fully complete this course; we will book these exams for you. The first available examination date for this syllabus is in May/June 2019.
Please note: you will need to sit these exams in either the Birmingham or Macclesfield examination centre.
You will be required to pay for your exams and fees to take your exams at the examining centre that you choose.
You are still able to study this GCSE course, but must take the examinations within the UK at either the Birmingham or Macclesfield centre, as this is the only guaranteed way to access exam centres.
