For those budding digital enthusiasts, this creative digital design online course is perfect to keep young adults brains’ challenged.

Designed for those aged 13-17 with a keen interest in either graphic design, digital publishing or online media creation, this will boost digital creative skills and give a whole new range of skills that may not be available at school!

Discover how to use Adobe Creative Suite, create digital media using graphic design tools to design a website! Learn basic photography, videography, and audio processing so that you can create stunning visual media.

Set up their future and enrol on a course with lifelong creative media skills that can be used for future education or jobs!

An iPhone or android is needed for this course as well as an active Adobe Creative Cloud subscription. This can be purchased separately.

Course requirements

There are a number of requirements needed before you or your child enrol onto this course. Students must be 13-17 years old.

Computer requirements

A basic laptop from the last five years will be sufficient. You will need to have your own device in order to connect to our online learning platform. We recommend the following PCs are suitable.

MacOS
– MacOs 10.12 or later
– All intel based Macbooks and iMacs since 2015
– 8GB RAM
– Min 1GB available storage

Windows Device
– Windows 7 or later
– Using Intels i3 (i5 recommended) since 2013
– 8GB RAM
– Min 1gb storage space available

Internet speeds

– 15mbps connection or better is recommended.

For reference, if you can stream YouTube videos full screen without buffering and it looks good then you’re good to go!

Additional requirements
Students will need an iPhone or Android smartphone to use for filming and for editing with Clip. This course requires you have an active Adobe Creative Cloud subscription, a capable computer to work on and a broadband internet connection. Details on how to access the service at the discounted student rate are here. A PC/Mac computer with at least 8GB of RAM is recommended.

Study Method

This course will be studied through distance learning online. Learn when and wherever you can, as long as you have access to internet. All of the course will be available online, so receiving your materials is easy.

You will also receive personal tutor support through the online portal. Ideal for home schooling or extracurricular skills.

Students will work independently at their own pace through learning materials and assignments, and also have weekly live onscreen tutorials for sharing progress and problem-solving.

There are 5 weekly tutorials, lasting 1 hour each. These tutorials are led by an expert, fully DBS-checked instructor, and students will join a small group of other young learners online, working together in fun and interactive sessions. All sessions are monitored and recorded for safety.

Assessment

All of the course is housed on an online learning platform. There are a number of tasks to complete and an informal quiz to test skills learnt.

Course Outcome

At the end of the course your child will be competent in Adobe creative programmes and receive a certification of completion. Once they have finished the course, their profile with XP (Experience Points) will be sent by email.

All our instructors undergo in-person training in the curriculum of the course and in Child Safety Policies.

If you do not have a computer that meets the computer requirements, we can provide a cloud-based solution for most courses. This will give you access to a high-spec computer via the cloud, meaning you simply use a very basic device that can access the internet and
has a screen, keyboard and mouse.
Internet speed of 15mbps connection or better is recommended. If you can stream YouTube videos full screen without buffering and it looks good then you’re good to go!
