This course is assessed by a series of assignments which are submitted to your tutor for marking. No external examination is required, so you can complete all assessed work from home.
This course will take approximately 30 hours to complete. Students will receive a full year to complete the course, which is a lot more time than you will need. This allows you to work at your own pace, without the pressure of tight deadlines.
You will study this course by distance learning, which will enable you to learn when and where you want. You can study from home or at work; it is completely up to you. At the end of this course successful learners will receive an Active IQ Level 2 Award in Adapting Fitness Instruction for Adolescents - QCF. This means that you will achieve a Level 2 qualification on The Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Your qualification is accredited by Active IQ, one of the UK's leading Ofqual approved awarding bodies in the health, fitness and active leisure sector. In addition, you will gain 16 CPD points for your REPs membership.
REPs (The Register of Exercise Professionals) is the largest public independent register which provides regulation for instructors and trainers to ensure that they meet National Occupational Standards agreed by the health and fitness industry. Membership with REPs is valued and respected, enhancing employability, and is recognised in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

Students must be 16 years or over to enrol on this course. It is also recommended that students have basic level communication skills. Learners must hold a Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing, Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Physical Activity for Children or equivalent.
