With a study programme of 7/8 units in your choice of subjects from the units listed below, strengthen and develop your knowledge and skills in specific management areas, and achieve this Level 4 Diploma from the Chartered Management Institute.

The course:

  • Is aimed at junior managers
  • Develops knowledge of roles and responsibilities required in management and leadership
  • Requires 39 credits, earned across a mix of mandatory and optional modules covering a range of management disciplines
  • Opens up further study opportunities in advanced qualifications
  • Must be completed within 12 months from enrolment date although, with our distance learning delivery model, you can fast track this by completing units more quickly to suit your own timetable.

All course materials will be provided to you and you'll have access to an online learning portal, as well as an experienced and friendly tutor who will offer guidance, support and advice. Your tutor will liaise with you in advance of starting the course to ascertain the best units for you to study, based on your desired outcome. Immediately after enrolment

Upon completion of enrolment with Open Study College, you will be required to go through a 3rd party application process; this is just a formality and involves completing and signing a course application form. Once completed you will be required to arrange an induction interview with your allocated course tutor who will help you to choose the study unit which best suits your requirements.

Assessment

You will be assessed on each unit studied, based on criteria set out by your tutor. All assessments will be submitted via your tutor.

Course Duration

The course must be completed in a maximum of 12 months, but studying the provided course materials at a speedier pace could lead to completing the course in less than the allowed time. Enjoy the flexibility to achieve your Level 4 Diploma more quickly if desired. 

Study Method

This course is offered on a distance learning basis, with access to required study materials and unlimited support from your personal tutor via email. Study at your own pace, wherever and whenever you choose.

Course Outcome

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a CMI Level 4 Diploma in Management and Leadership, awarded by Chartered Management Institute (CMI). You will also be eligible for CMI membership.

CMI is a specialist Awarding Organisation that offers a wide range of qualifications in Management and Leadership, Coaching and Mentoring and Professional Consulting. They are regulated by four regulators: Ofqual in England, CCEA in Northern Ireland, the Qualifications Wales in Wales and the Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA) in Scotland.

Students must be 19 years old. There are no specific entry requirements, but tutors will ensure students are sufficiently knowledgeable and experienced to study the specified level and content.
