On Saturday 16th September, a team from Open Study College took part in the Memory Walk to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society UK.
Memory Walk
Along with 6,000 other walkers, the team of ten from Open Study College walked the 5.5km route through Sutton Park. It was a fantastic morning, and despite the wet weather, the team were in high spirits! We are very grateful to the staff who gave up their Saturday morning lie in to take part.
Thank you!
The team collected donations from colleagues, family, friends, and some of the companies we work with such as Handelsbanken… so thank you to everyone who donated! The final total raised has been climbing over the last few weeks, and as we speak the total raised has just hit £1000 this morning!
Alzheimer’s Society
The charity fights for everyone affected by dementia, and are working towards a world without the disease. The funds Open Study College have raised will go towards research, campaigning, advice and information, and providing local support to those affected by dementia. If you would like to find out more about Alzheimer’s Society, go to their website.
We are very proud of the team’s fundraising efforts and the Open Study College team spirit!
