Course overview

This course is designed for practising or aspiring managers. It will help develop leadership and management skills in management while teaching you how to identify the links between coaching, mentoring, and he achievement of business goals.

Study a combination of units with a minimum of 140 total unit hours and achieve the Level 7 Certificate in Leadership and Management. This is the benchmark qualification for full CMI membership, taking you another step towards Chartered Manager status, and is designed for practicing managers and those aspiring to senior management who want to develop their key skills.

You will have access to your course materials via an online learning portal, as well as an experienced and friendly tutor who will offer guidance, support and advice. Your tutor will liaise with you in advance of starting the course to ascertain the best unit(s) for you to study, based on your desired outcome. Some unit combinations are not allowed, due to content duplication. Your tutor will be able to advise further.

You will get CMI membership on registration.

Course Outcome

Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a CMI Level 7 Certificate in Leadership and Management.

Entry Requirements

You must be at least 19 years of age. We require you to have at least a level 3 qualification and a good understanding of the written requirements at level 7. Ideally, you will need to be working within an organisation or role where you can demonstrate skills and apply the knowledge. Alternatively, you could draw on previous experience within an organisation or use an organisation you are familiar with.

Course content

To achieve a Level 7 Award in Leadership and Management, you must complete any combination of units with a minimum of 140 TUT (total unit time) hours to achieve this qualification. You can choose from the following units. Before starting the course, you will have a discussion with your tutor to select the unit(s) you wish to study.
