  • Understand the teaching role and responsibilites in education and training

Module 2: Planning to Meet the Needs of Learners in Education and Training

  • Be able to plan inclusive teaching and learning in accordance with internal and external requirements

Assessment

You will be assessed through ongoing assignments that will take place throughout the programme. You will also be observed during your teaching practice, twice by a tutor and once by your mentor.

All of your assignments are completed and stored online and, as such, can be accessed from any venue with access to the internet. This means you can complete your award from work or home.

Course Duration

You have 26 weeks to complete this course. This is more than enough time to give you flexibility and work at your own pace without the pressure of deadlines.

Study Method

You will be studying through an online portal which will include interactive modules with associated assignments. You will have access to online personal tutor support to help you throughout the course, which will be available via email.

Course Outcome

Successful students will receive a Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training awarded by TQUK.

What are the requirements for this course?

To enrol onto this course you must have successfully achieved the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (Formally PTLLS). New entrants must have a Level 3, or equivalent, qualification as a minimum in their own subject area. You must be 19 years or older to enrol onto this course.

It is also a mandatory requirement that trainee teachers have a mentor who is currently a teacher or at Level 4 and above to offer all the support they need in the working environment. You should have an idea of what subjects you’d like to teach.

Is there a time limit for the completion of this course?

You have 26 weeks to complete this course.

Do I need to be working in a teaching role?

Yes, you will need to complete a requirement of 30 hours teaching practice. This teaching practice may be paid or voluntary.
