All course materials will be provided to you and you'll have access to an online learning portal, as well as an experienced and friendly tutor who will offer guidance, support and advice. Your tutor will liaise with you in advance of starting the course to ascertain the best unit(s) for you to study, based on your desired outcome. Upon completion of enrolment with Open Study College, you will be required to go through a secondary application process; this is just a formality and involves completing and signing a course application form. Once completed you will be required to arrange an induction interview with your allocated course tutor who will help you to choose the study unit(s) which best suit your requirements.
You will be assessed on each unit studied, based on criteria set out by your tutor. All assessments will be submitted via your tutor.
Learners have 2 months to complete this course. A minimum of 40 hours / 1 unit of study is required to achieve the Level 5 Award.
This course is offered on a distance learning basis with access to required study materials and unlimited support from your personal tutor via email. Study at your own pace, wherever and whenever you choose.
At the end of this course successful learners will receive a CMI Level 5 Award in Management and Leadership, awarded by Chartered Management Institute (CMI). You will also be eligible for CMI membership.
CMI is a specialist Awarding Organisation that offers a wide range of qualifications in Management and Leadership, Coaching and Mentoring and Professional Consulting. They are regulated by four regulators: Ofqual in England, CCEA in Northern Ireland, the Qualifications Wales in Wales and the Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA) in Scotland.
Students must be 19 years old. There are no specific entry requirements, but tutors will ensure students are sufficiently knowledgeable and experienced to study the specified level and content.
