The qualification is assessed through an external end-of-qualification assessment. This computer-based assessment is to be sat under controlled conditions at an external examination centre. Your tutor will help you to decide when you are ready to take the assessments.
This course takes approximately 84 hours to complete, 45 of which are proposed guided learning hours. However, you will have a six months to complete your course so you are able to study at a pace that suits you.
Once you enrol, you will receive all course materials by post and receive full tutor support for six months. Once you have registered with AAT you will also have online access to online resources and additional support materials, including sample assessments.
On successful completion of your AAT exams you will receive a Level 1 Access Award in Bookkeeping awarded by The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).
The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) has been established for over 30 years and is a leading membership organisation for over 140,000 accounting professionals.
You must be 16 years old in order to enrol onto this course. Good communication, English and Mathematics skills are also recommended.
To sit any exams, you must join AAT as a student member, which will then give you access to their resources. It is your own responsibility to pay for your student membership and exam fees, which are both payable to AAT. You will also need to pay your assessment centre fees, which will be paid directly to them.
