This course includes 1.5 days practical training which will be accredited by the Hair and Beauty Industry Authority (HABIA) who set the standards for training for the UK.

     Gti Anatomy and  Physiology Theory:
     

    Before you go onto your practical day you will need to have completed the Gti Anatomy & Physiology Theory part of the course. This is essential for your practical training day. This will cover all of the anatomy and physiology required for the Level 2 and 3 National Occupational Standards (NOS) for beauty, nails and holistic therapy treatments.

  • Assessment

    This course will be assessed through a series of written assignments, which will be sent and marked by your tutor. Your coursework must be completed before you can proceed onto the practical day. You must also progress onto the Gti anatomy and physiology theory work with a half day attendance in the classroom. All modules and examinations for this are completed online with full online support. 

    Course Duration

    You may start at any time and have two years to complete your studies. This is more than enough time to give you flexibility and work at your own pace without the pressure of deadlines. Your practical day will last 6.5 hours.

  • Study Method

    The course is designed for study by distance learning at home or at work. You will receive your course materials online and by post, and will also need to attend a day’s practical training. You choose out of Birmingham, Coventry and Leicester where you would like to attend your practical day.

    Course Outcome

    At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement by ABC Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (This lists details of all the units you have completed as part of your course).

    The Anatomy and Physiology theory part of this course will be accredited by The Guild of Beauty Therapists. Guild Accredited courses are recognised throughout the industry for their content and delivery. Once completing this practical day you will be able to obtain insurance and membership from the Guild which will enable you to carry out and charge for treatments on members of the public.

    Your practical training will be accredited through the Hair and Beauty Industry Authority (HABIA) who set the standards for training for the UK. You will also receive a Certificate in Stone Therapy from Ellison’s Academy.

What are the requirements for this course?

There are no requirements needed to enrol onto this course. 

In order to progress onto your practical days you will have needed to complete the GTi Anatomy and Physiology Theory and half a day attendance.

However please note that the online GTi test for the Anatomy and Physiology theory, currently do not run on some mobile devices such as iPhones and iPads and are not compatible with Google Chrome browsers. If in doubt, please contact us for advice. 

Is there a time limit for the completion of this course?

You may start at any time and have a two years to complete your studies. This course is truly flexible and adaptable around your lifestyle.

How do I arrange my practical days?

Once you have passed your written assignments, you may book your practical day. You have the choice of 3 centres to choose from to take your practical training day and classroom learning. You will have to take an online exam for the anatomy and physiology theory part of this course.
