Course Overview

As well as your A Level course materials and tutor support, this course can include the examination fees needed to successfully gain your A Level History qualification and those all-important UCAS points. 

Simply receive your course materials online or by post and start studying to gain that all-important A Level. If you add on the exams, when you are ready, we will book the exams for you so you can focus on your studies. 

This course can be completed without taking the A Level exam.

Assessment

To achieve the full History A Level you will be assessed across the four units. All units will be assessed by three paper-based examinations and coursework. A more detailed breakdown of the assessments are provided below. Please note that if you choose to add on your exams with us you will need to sit your exams in the Birmingham examination centre. This is due to the administrative arrangements for submitting coursework.

Course Duration

You will have 2 years to complete the full A Level from the date you receive your materials. You will be able to study at your own pace and in your own time without the pressure of tight deadlines. Your only deadlines are the A Level examinations. If you add the examinations with us, they will have to be taken at a centre in Birmingham; we will book these for you when you feel you are ready. Additional exam centres in various locations will soon become available.

Study Method

This course enables you to study for an A Level in History by distance learning at home or at work. Your course materials will be sent by post or via email, you choose!

Full tutor support will be available via email, so help is only a click away! Your course pack will include self-assessment exercises and tutor-marked study questions, so you can monitor your progress.

Course Outcome

Once you have successfully completed the examinations you will receive the Edexcel accredited A Level in History.

Yes! You study the same coursework, take the same examinations and get the same qualification. The only difference is that the course is designed to be studied from home, and you receive full tutor support via email.

You will preferably have a reasonable grade GCSE or O Level in History as the concepts in the A Level History course follow on and use some of the knowledge you will have gained. This is not essential and don’t be discouraged if you don’t have this qualification already.
