Open Study College raise funds for Cancer Research UK with Halloween fun day

November 1, 2017

Last Friday at Open Study College, we took part in a Halloween fun day to raise money for Cancer Research UK. The Open Study College team are always up for a giggle, so when the opportunity arose to hold a Halloween-themed fun day to raise money for Cancer Research UK, the team were as enthusiastic as ever!

Cancer Research UK

Cancer Research UK raises money to conduct research that will one day help us win the fight against cancer. The money raised by the charity goes toward research into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. Cancer Research UK’s vision is that there will come a day where all cancers are cured. What did we do?

The Open Study College team were fantastic, and everyone took part in the Halloween fancy dress, with everything from teen wolves, corpse brides, and pirates to the Joker, and scarecrows! The team really went all out and we were so impressed with everyone’s costumes. We even decked the office out with spiders, skeletons, pumpkins and ‘DO NOT ENTER’ tape. There was also an all-day ‘Trick or Treat’ buffet that the team got stuck in to. It was a brilliant day that was enjoyed by all whilst raising money for a great cause.

How much did we raise?

We are delighted to say that the Open Study College team raised £150 for Cancer Research UK. Not bad at all! We asked the staff at Open Study College to donate as much as they were able to, and it was great to have such a fantastic result at the end!
