ELCAS / Enhanced Learning Credits (ELC)

The Ministry of Defence's Enhanced Learning Credits Scheme (ELC) is an initiative to encourage lifelong learning for members of the Armed Forces. The ELC scheme provides financial support (by means of an up-front payment) for higher level courses.

Open Study College is an approved course provider for the MOD through the ELCAS scheme. We are here to help you through the ELCAS procedure every step of the way and will provide you with a named contact to guide you.

The Enhanced Learning Credits Process

Either call us using the number at the top of your screen or use the enquiry form opposite, we will talk to you about your options
Fill out your ELCAS claim form
Give your claim form to your commanding officer or learning staff for approval
ELCAS will then check your eligibility for funding
Once your claim is approved by ELCAS you will be sent a Claim Authorisation Note (CAN)
You can then book your chosen course with us by paying your 20% personal contribution (as required by ELCAS)
