We are recruiting for a Student Account Administrator to work for a well-established, multi award winning distance learning college based close to the NEC in Birmingham.

The package:

The successful candidate will benefit from a salary of £20k per annum, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, in an excellent working environment where your contribution is recognised and rewarded, plus many more perks.

Hours: Full time, permanent role, start date ASAP.  37.5 hours, 9-5.30pm, Monday to Friday

Location: Solihull - B37 – due to the location, you will either need to live locally to B37 or have daily access to a car.

Working from a modern, busy office, duties will include:

  • Answering accounts calls from Students
  • Contacting Students in arrears and taking payments by telephone
  • Dealing with Direct Debit Reports and reconciliation
  • Re-negotiating payment plans
  • Processing payments
  • Collection letters distribution
  • Assisting Student Support Team with administrative tasks

An excellent and strong telephone manner is required for this position, with a calm, professional, and highly organised approach.  A solid knowledge of Microsoft Office packages is essential.

The required training will be provided, but you do require to have experience in administration and inbound and outbound telephone calls.  Candidates must possess good numeric, written, and verbal communication skills, and have experience in dealing with old debt.
