We are looking for someone great to join a fantastic, established, and growing organisation, and expand its team of Data Protection Administrators.

The package: a competitive package inclusive of a basic salary starting at £26,169, plus a fabulous range of additional benefits, in addition to the term time holidays, candidates are entitled to five days' leave. Full-time: permanent role, 37 hours per week (Monday - Friday). To start as soon as possible subject to satisfactory clearance checks.

Location: West Bromwich, B70.

This is an exciting opportunity for candidates who have excellent senior administrative experience, are well organised and flexible, have some knowledge of GDPR and data protection within the work environment, and have excellent communication and people management skills.

Candidates would be expected to travel to and attend meetings held in schools, to advise and support on a range of matters, and to deliver briefings predominately held at the end of the school day, and some evenings.

Knowledge of the education sector would be ideal, as well as an understanding of data protection, but this is not essential as training and development would be provided.

Our client offers a hybrid working environment. Laptops and mobile phones are provided for home working, as well as mileage for travel to meetings.


As a Data Protection Administrator, you will be responsible for:

  • Attending regular meetings, offering advice, guidance, and support on varying matters.
  • Understand and extract information from documentation, and produce clear and concise reports based on findings.
  • Undertake audits of policies and procedures, working with schools to deliver briefings and recommendations.
  • Work with a wide range of individuals at all levels communicating effectively, including conveying potentially challenging information.
  • Take a positive and proactive approach to identify opportunities, and have an active input in the further development of the service provided.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with the senior leaders in schools, as well as support staff and governors.


The successful candidate for the role of Data Protection Administrator will have:

  • Senior administrative experience, including some knowledge of GDPR in the workplace.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills.
  • Educated to level 3 NVQ, in any subject.
  • Knowledge of using a range of ICT packages.
  • Must be able to travel to various locations throughout the West Midlands.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the service, including some evening work.
