At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Level 4 NCFE certificate of achievement. That means that it is independently accredited at a level of learning equivalent to level 4 on The Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland (where level 2 and level 3 courses are similar in difficulty to GCSEs and A-Levels, respectively, and where level 4 is slightly more challenging than an A-Level).
The training courses have been designed specifically to meet the needs of learners who prefer to study from home. The course measurable learning outcomes have been benchmarked at Level 4 (using Ofqual's QCF level descriptors) to allow you to consider the depth of study, difficulty, and level of achievement involved. This course has been accredited under NCFE IIQ Licence by Open Study College which has been approved as an NCFE Investing in Quality (IIQ) centre to give formal recognition to courses.
NCFE is recognised as an Awarding Organisation by the qualification regulators for England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. These are Ofqual (the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator in England); the Welsh Government and CCEA (the Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment) in Northern Ireland.
No previous knowledge is mandatory for enrolling onto this course. However, you may wish to study Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Level 3 before progressing to Level 4, particularly if you have no prior experience of the subject.

I am a fully qualified Beauty and Body therapist CIBTAC AND CIDESCO and also CIBTAC qualified as a Reflexologist (a Member of the Association of Reflexologists) and qualified in Indian Head and Hot Stone Massage, Reiki and Aromatherapy. I make my own products and run my own salon.
I was a Licensed Conveyancer and a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Execs specialisiing in Personal Injury work when I lived in the Uk. I presently live in Eire.
I was advised that I could skip the foundation course and go straight into the level 4 course. However, I have of course to do a fair bit of research and reading up before I personally feel comfortable dealing with the modules and this is why I have delayed dealing with the work.
I think, in hindsight, it might have been adviseable to do the level 3 course first to ease me into the level four. I find the course fascinating and believe it will be of great help to me in my work with my clients who could benefit from the tools that CBT makes available.
The course for level four is easy enough to understand I just need to fill in the back ground first.
