This NCFE CACHE Level 2 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care is ideal if you’re considering a career in health and social care.

During your studies, you’ll explore the life stages of human growth and development and the events that can have an impact on this, as well as how you can safeguard vulnerable individuals within your role in health and social care. You will also learn more about the values, functions, and roles in the health and social care sector, how you can support individuals in your care who are affected by dementia, and the nutritional needs at different life stages.

Once you have successfully completed this course, you could either move on to study a level 3 course in health and social care, or use the course to support your progression into a role in the sector. Relevant roles you could progress to include care support worker, healthcare assistant, and community-based support workers.

Assessment

This course is assessed by a series of assignments which are submitted to your tutor for marking. No external examination or practical work is required, so you can complete all assessed work from home.
