How to tell if you are in the wrong job

Do you ever wonder if you are in the right job for you? Take time to think about your work and whether you’re happy with what you do. Here 3 different ways to tell if you are in the wrong job:
Do you seek distractions at work?
If you would rather focus your time on distractions than getting your work done, then your job is not important to you. You should be paying attention to your work and enjoying it whilst completing it. If you don’t feel like you can enjoy your work, then you are in the wrong job or need a new project or change.
Do you have no interest in engaging with your team?
Do you get along with the people you work with? Maybe you have a personality conflict with them? Or maybe you have no idea why – but you do not want to join in with discussions. Then you are in the wrong job. You spend the majority of your life at work with the same people, so if you can’t be yourself around them then you will find your job boring and awkward. It is your boss’s duty to make sure all of their staff are working as a team so if you have a problem talk to them!
Are you doing it just for the money?
There is nothing wrong with loving the money you get from your job, but that shouldn’t be the only reason you like your job. Your job should be in something you have passion for and which allows you to show off your talents. Ask yourself what would you do for the rest of your life for free? If this isn’t your current job, you need to change your career path. Gaining a new qualification from home can help with this, without giving up you current job.
