Open Study College’s successful digital marketing campaign continues with a pop-up shop at Birmingham’s Bullring to deliver opportunities for flexible learning to the Birmingham community.
The Bullring shopping Centre in Birmingham is getting ready to welcome Open Study College as they prepare to launch their first pop-up shop. The pop up shop will continue the traction of their recent digital and social #StudyYourWay campaign which reached over 1.1 million people across Birmingham and a wider social audience across the UK.
Steven Nash explains Open Study College’s thoughts behind the pop up shop:
“As an online college this is the first time our brand has been based in such a retail environment. It’s a great opportunity for us to show potential students in Birmingham who may never have experienced what we’re all about, how distance learning has changed and what they could achieve.”
It’s a big year for Open Study College who have just celebrated their 60,000th student, won the Education Awards FE College of the year and just completed a very successful marketing campaign. The college are also celebrating their 10th Anniversary of providing exceptional education opportunities across the UK.
Nita Chambers from The Bullring, Birmingham said:
“The pop-up shop at the Bullring is a great way for Open Study College to meet prospective students, and other members of our community. Pop-up shops are a welcome concept, they revitalise shopping centres and the British public are always curious to see something new. We are excited to welcome our first pop-up educational shop and for Open Study College to share their amazing story about the life changing course opportunities available at their college. The location has great footfall and we wish them every success.”
Labour MP for Dudley North, Ian Austin, officially opened the pop-up shop yesterday and said:
“I think we have to make improving education, boosting skills and getting people back into work across the Midlands our number one priority so I was delighted to see the pop-up shop and hear about the flexible learning options Open Study College have to offer. The introduction of their scholarship scheme this year and their support of local charities shows that they are also a company who is giving back to the Midlands which should be applauded.”
The pop-up shop college will be at Link Street near The Bullring and will run for two weeks from 5th February through to 18th February. The team from Open Study College will be on hand from 10am to 8pm each day to answer questions and there will be a whole range of fun activities available to show the people of Birmingham how flexible today’s way of learning really is.
“We are always proud to innovate and do things differently for the good of our students, and this pop-up store is a perfect example of that; a fantastic start to the year.”
