"I want to set up my own childcare business from home, mainly because I love looking after my own kids so working from home means I can keep an eye on them at the same time and not miss one of those important moments in their lives.

It was fascinating to see the different aspects of childcare such as child psychology, and the different areas of child development like emotional and cognitive. There were a couple of things that were difficult for me to get my head round but when that happened I would give my tutor a ring and she'd explain it properly."

"I can see why the other girls enjoyed this course and I enjoyed it as well, but as I am starting my own childcare business, it would have been even better if there was more information about starting a childcare business - like managing finances and more detail about the insurance required. But they are minor annoyances overall I think."

"I'd hadn't studied from home before and I wasn't aware of NCFE, so I had a look around for details and it turns out they've been around for decades and create courses aimed at people who wouldn't normally be able to go into a college every day - that's me!

It was fun to be able to work towards a recognised diploma and still have time to work full-time and still be able to see my friends when I wanted to, this is because of the flexible time limit and as it's a home learning course, I could work through it when I had the time."
