What our previous students think...

1000's of people of all ages have enrolled and completed courses with Open Study College, and here are some reviews we've received about this course.

4 stars"I'm qualified and I studied from home!"

Helen Crockett, Derby, studied - Diet and Nutrition Advisor Level 3

"I was looking for the right course and I thought this one looked like the one that would help me, I didn't realise originally that it was a home learning course and I'd never studied one like that before, but it made perfect sense.

I could go through my course when it suited me, I could keep my job on at the same time, and I could still go out and have fun at the weekend. I worked on my assignments as much or as little as I wanted at any moment. I think the relaxed study method helped me to enjoy things much more, and don't you find you get better results when you enjoy yourself?"

4 stars"I'm now a qualified Nutritionist"

Kim Davis, Newcastle, studied - Diet and Nutrition Advisor Level 3

"I've been interested in diet and nutrition for a while. I love going down the gym and working out but being healthy means more than just exercise.

The 'my body is a temple' philosophy is a bit of a cliche, but it's true! You need to make sure you eat and drink the right things and this course was a fantastic way to understand this, and to explain how the digestive system worked as well as showing the effects of lifestyle on diet.

It also explains about RDA and RNA and other things that mean when you pick up one of those microwave ready meals in a supermarket, you understand what's in there and also know that you should put it back down and get something fresh instead!

Being able to study a recognised course from home made life so much easier - I could study a course that helped me to get a job as a nutritionist and also do it in my own time, as much or as little as I could manage."

4 stars"Now I understand the importance of a balanced diet!"

Kate Phillips, Bedford, studied - Diet and Nutrition Advisor Level 3

"We all live lives at such a pace these days (myself included) and it's no surprise we all live on Microwaved rubbish and fast food with little thought given to how it all takes it's toll on our skin, general fitness and well-being.

I'd seen enough TV programmes dealing with the subject to know that the course covered topics I was interested in, but not only was it a fun, interesting course to study, it was something I could do in my spare time. Although it's accredited by the Federation of Holistic Therapists, I'm not planning on looking for a job in this area, I just did the course for fun, to learn something new. But it does mean it's an extra qualification on my CV and it looks good to employers."

3 stars"Good but maybe add in an extra section"

Terry Smith, Leeds, studied - Diet and Nutrition Advisor Level 3

"A good course and the tutor support was very good, but I'd have liked some extra modules which covered exercising, I guess you could partner this course with the personal fitness trainer course."

4 stars"Great way to maximise your 'wellbeing'"

Jane Richards, London, studied - Diet and Nutrition Advisor Level 3

"I think this was a greay way to add that other side of 'wellbeing' into your life. I stay in shape, I use treadmills, the exercise bike and stuff like that, but what's the point of going to all of that effort when you don't understand what food you should be taking in? That's why I enrolled and that's what the course has taught me.

Now I know how to eat healthily and I combine it with my fitness regime so I look the best that I possibly can!"
