What our previous students think...

1000's of people of all ages have enrolled and completed courses with Open Study College, and here are some reviews we've received about this course.

4 stars"A very informative and helpful course"

Gregory Bedford, Wells, studied - Mental Health and Psychiatry Level 3

The course explores the different types of mental illness and how they can be commonly misconceived. It discusses taboos and generalisations that people can make about conditions such as schizophrenia.

As a youth worker I felt it was important to familiarise myself with some of the conditions that I might come across. I have just been offered a job working with adolescents at a forensic mental health unit.

4 stars"I was really pleased that I could work at my own pace"

Stewart Atterbury, St David’s, studied - Mental Health and Psychiatry Level 3

Other commitments had stopped me from studying in the past. I was delighted to discover that I didn’t have to enrol in daily or weekly lectures with the college, and I could work at my own pace and in my own home.

4 stars"I turned my spare room in to an office"

Danielle Murray, Westminster, studied - Mental Health and Psychiatry Level 3

I had recently completed your Introduction to Counselling course and decided that I wanted to learn more about psychiatry. Eventually I would like to become a freelance counsellor and maybe one day even start my own practise!
