Big Brother winner Josie Gibson enrols with Open Study College

Josie Gibson, the winner of Channel 4's Big Brother in 2010, has enrolled on Open Study College's Nutrition Consultant course.

The course is a level 3 award in accordance with the National Qualifications Framework, teaching students the principles of nutrition in relation to modern-day Western society.

Fast food, manufacturing processes and multiculturalism are all discussed as major influences on diet, ensuring that students learn about nutrition in an up-to-date, contemporary context.

Josie's enrolment follows that of other British celebrities who have chosen Open Study College to learn comfortably from home, without having to attend a classroom.

She commented: "The people at Open Study College were really lovely when I enrolled, and even though I've only just started the course, I'm learning loads already!"

The course is expected to receive a greater number of applications in 2012, as the demand for diet and nutrition professionals continues to increase.
