This home learning course will take approximately 180 hours and we provide a full 12 months to complete the course.
Assessment
The Plumbing course assessment takes the form of a series of written assignments, which are submitted and marked by your tutor. There are also a number of multi-choice test papers that must be completed from home.
Study Method
The course is designed for study by distance learning at home or at work. Students receive a course manual, assignments and study guide plus tutor support by mail or email. You can start at any time and there are no time limits on this home learning course.
Qualifications
Once the course has been successfully completed, students will receive the Diploma in Plumbing. Students can also go on to complete the City & Guilds 6129 Technical Certificate. Once this diploma course is completed, students will only need to complete the practical training and exam at a Techniclass centre local to you. Prices for this are additional and depend on each centre.
Once this diploma course is completed, students will also have covered the theory work to gain the NVQ level 2 in Mechanical Engineering Services Plumbing, but will need to complete practical training and assessments at an additional cost. If you do have 5 or more year's experience, you will be exempt from practical training.

You do not need any previous knowledge to enrol onto this course. We do ask that students are over the age of 16. Students will also benefit from having internet access.
