Safety Compliance is an essential part of modern business. A safe and secure workspace is crucial; ensuring staff and surroundings are protected. This home learning course is designed for people who wish to gain an understanding of principles and practice of safety compliance. No prior knowledge is required.

The course is divided up as 16 modules, as follows:

Module 3: Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations
Module 4: Risk Assessment
Module 5: Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992
Module 6: Health and Safety Regulations 1992
Module 7: Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations
Module 8: Personal Protective Equipment Regulations
Module 9: Workplace (Health Safety and Welfare) Regulations
Module 10: Fire Safety
Module 11: First Aid. An introduction
Module 12: Accident Reporting
Module 13: Health & Safety Training.
Module 14: Lifting Operations and Lifting Regulations
Module 15: Electricity at Work
Module 16: Hazardous Substances

Course Duration

Students may register at any time and have a full year to complete their studies.

Assessment

The course will take the form of a series of written assignments which are submitted and marked by your tutor. There is no external examination.

Study Method

The course is designed for study by distance learning at home or at work. Students receive a course manual, assignments and study guide plus tutor support by mail or email. You can start at any time and plan your studies over a period of up to one year from the time of registration.

Qualifications

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a level 2 NCFE Award certificate of achievement. That means that it is independently accredited at a level of learning equivalent to level 2 on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
