This is the Certificate in Advanced Bookkeeping. This programme is designed for people who wish to develop more advanced bookkeeping skills. It is particularly suitable for people seeking a career in bookkeeping or run their own bookkeeping business. In addition, you will also, Understand the principles and requirements of The data Protection Act, Calculate closing stock using FIFO, LIFO and AVCO principles, Undertake post-trail balance adjustments and provisions, Enter and correct entries for disposal of fixed assets, Produce an extended trial balance, Derive missing data and rectify incomplete records. Assessment

Study Method

The course is designed for study by distance learning at home or at work. Students receive a course manual, assignments and study guide plus tutor support by mail or email. You can start at any time and plan your studies over a period of up to one year from the time of registration.

Qualifications

The course can be studied for personal interest and development without assessment. However the course covers the requirements of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers Level 3 Diploma in Manual Bookkeeping. Students must register independently with the ICB and submit for the examinations which are held three times a year at centres worldwide. Membership and examination fees are payable to the ICB and are not included in the course price.
