Mediation is a form of dispute resolution. Mediators often come in to action when a dispute between two parties has been going on for quite some time. Mediators help each party talk things through and agree amicably on an end result.
Students do not need any prior knowledge or experience to enrol on the course, the course will take you from the beginning up to a level 3 standard.
Salaries start from around £20,000 once qualified.

Assessment
The home learning Mediation course assessment takes the form of a series of written assignments, which are submitted and marked by your tutor. There is no external examination required.
Study Method
The course is designed for study by distance learning at home or at work. Students receive a course manual, assignments and study guide plus tutor support by mail or email. You can start at any time and plan your studies over a period of up to one year from the time of registration.
Qualifications
At the end of this course successful learners will receive a level 3 NCFE Award certificate of achievement. That means that it is independently accredited at a level of learning equivalent to level 3 on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland (in which case GCSE's are at levels 1 and 2 and A Levels are at level 3).
This award has been designed to meet specific learners' or employers' requirements. Accreditation by NCFE is a guarantee of quality. It means that this learning programme has been scrutinised and approved by an independent panel of experienced educational professionals and is quality audited biannually by NCFE.
