On completion of Section A, you will receive two qualifications:

Section B

5 Clinic Days Practical Training
Day 1
  • Lecture 1: Instruments: their use and care, general cleaning and autoclaves.
  • Lecture 2: Personal Presentation: hair/jewellery etc.
  • Lecture 3: Record Keeping: acceptable abbreviations.
  • Practical Session 1: Use of Burs, Nail nippers, Foot dressers & Blacks files.
Day 2
  • Practical Session 2: Materia medica, Padding & strapping, Sterile dressing techniques, Modern alternatives e.g. Silicon gel.
  • Practical Session 3: Scalpel techniques, Practice on wax etc.
Day 3
  • Practical Sessions 4, 5, 6, 7: Real clients
Day 4
  • Practical Sessions 8, 9, 10, 11: Real clients
Day 5
  • Practical Sessions 12, 13: Real clients
  • Lecture 4: Review of the week: Assess what has been learnt. Direct further study. General discussion.

On completion of in Section B, you will receive:

Qualification 3: Foot Health Practitioner Practical Diploma

N.B. With this qualification you will be able to secure professional indemnity insurance to practice competently as a fully registered Foot Health Practitioner.
