OCN Courses

OCNNWR (OCN North West Region) provides validated courses through it's provider organisations which must meet robust quality assurance standards. It is a licenced member of NOCN which is an approved UK awarding body licenced by QCA to offer accredited qualifications. The course is provided by a recognised centre for courses validated by OCNNWR.

Formed from the recommendations of Manchester City Council and now over 20 years old, OCN (the Open College Network) has grown significantly in it's mission to broaden access to high quality training and flexible courses.

OCN courses are one of the greatest education successes of the late 20th and early 21st centuries having engaged with over 5 million people and crossed over 30 distinctive organisations and working with national and local organisations including governments and employers.

OCN pioneered the use of 'credits' and the 'study passport' as ways of defining learning levels and the value of the time spent on each course.
